The challenge of ebook discoverability in a print world

At BNC Tech Forum 2012, Evan Schnittman, MD of global sales and marketing at Bloomsbury, talked about why bestsellers dominate ebook sales and why the longtail is a long way from a reality for ebooks. He demonstrated some initiatives that Bloomsbury uses to make up for the complete lack of viable merchandizing available in bookstores. He also talked about the key values that print and ebooks bring to consumers and why he believes we need to merge them in order to create a heathy publishing industry.
