Jiminy and Dave’s excellent CSS adventure

  • March 22, 2018
Join Jiminy and Dave for an Excellent CSS Adventure, traveling through time from the dawn of the Kindle era, through today’s responsive EPUBs, to the future of web publications. We’ll take an ancient ebook and show you how to fix it up, by adding modern typographic effects and responsive design, while still allowing it to work in a variety of readers. We’ll show you how to use variables to work with user settings and how to make the reading system a friend rather than an enemy. We can even transform today’s EPUB into a web publication, exchanging the constraints of the reading system for the limitless freedom of the web world. It will be quite an adventure!
