The art and science of working with emerging writers

In this session, Dani Zacarias, Head of Content and Creator Development at Wattpad, will explore how Wattpad’s editorial and content teams create human connections with emerging writers, while also leveraging new data and technology tools to find diverse new voices. This 30-minute session will look at case studies from Wattpad, demonstrating how human interactions and expertise remain a key feature in nurturing literary talent. Examples could include an overview of the writer-discovery-to-publication process at Wattpad, or how writer programs like the Watty Awards balance Machine Learning with human interactions.
